                                                                    AUM vs MUM

Just a thought

Mutual fund industry charges expenses fees 2-3% to 0.05-0.50% for AUM -Asset under management, Industry should name it as fees for Money under management, to go to the exact details of the fees for a lay man/ client.

As in general a customer don't know how the how is invested, where it is invested, which sector it is invested what is small cap/ large cap/midcap , what is paper gold/silver, what is commodity sector/ energy sector, what is junk bond or gilt bond, term , maturity,

A lay man is doing their hard work-day job and give money to expert manager to invest only to get higher amount of money in future. So it is just money in and money out. why to understand what asset what liability. if it becomes MUM, it will be easy to understand and simple to understand, how much money -in minus fees and return higher money after 1-2-3 decades.

Variable rate vs fixed rate   Just a thought    This variable rate concept in everything is just everywhere, I think few decades ago, as business was slow, I think hotels were used to be fixed rate, customer comes books room and stays in fixed rate, Now a days in this online world as demand increases, hotels extract more and more money from clients specially during holiday season. and everyday price keeps changing to increasing according to demand. Same with Airline industry. Luckily it is not the case with most restaurants, still some restaurants do come up with holiday menu only- with increase combined process with 2-3 course items.  some keep a la carte me...
NKStock Talk inspired Long term Investment with HM system for my own reference with monthly and weekly charts - As Per NK Sir, Stock price should be above 5 SMA in monthly chart and above 20 SMA in weekly chart with HM system comparative charts (Monthly and weekly) charts of Index and Stocks- Random times- Tried to se HM buy signal with RED line below and BLACK and BLUE line above RED LINE- trying to find the red line above 40 RSI straight and below 50 RSI straight-line. RSI-Strength - BLACK - 9 WMA-VOLUME- RED -21 EMA- PRICE- GREEN -3 and  VWAP is used for Intra-day in 1 hr to 30 min charts.   Price always follow the HIGHER TIME FRAME- if there is a buy signal in higher time frame,  Than there will be BUY SIGNAL in lower time frame ALSO. For  INVESTMENTS CHECK WEEKLY AND MONTHLY CHARTS, MORE THE DISTANCE BETWEEN Volume(RED) and Strength(RSI-Black line) More will be the movement in PRICE.-Steep move in Black line from Red line When the Red line is on Top-It me...

Quality Business - Consistent-compounders

Successful companies have mostly focussed on small niches within a much larger market.  They have been able to build market dominance in their niches,  command pricing power, expand the niches and resultantly generate healthy earnings growth and returns on capital.  The financial performance of consistent compounders has been clearly better than:  (a) most mass-market companies; and (b) diversified large corporations For stock price to grow in consistent compounding stocks , Earnings drive 80-90% (if not higher) of the stock returns generated over the long run. As a result, provided the underlying asset (company or an index) delivers a modest or healthy earnings growth, it does not matter whether the entry point of one investor was 20% higher or lower than another investor.
