LONG AND SHORT THOUGHTS:

How a person think, makes a lot of difference in life, mostly people think for the Short term, why..? Influenced by the short term daily news paper reports, daily small talks, small idea change and small discussions with friend and dear ones...

People are bound to get influenced, that is normally psychology at work. We react so much to sudden TV news, in a hurry --telling this and that and what not... n  will be followed by this and that. e.g. Accidents, bomb blasts, people tend to react a lot, where actually there is nothing much to react to.

As generally, life is quite different from the reactions we make to a particular news or situations and it goes on.... in an average linear 45 degree success rate to growth.... and that is the best n most predictable growth path one should be curiously interested in.

One should actually react less to anything or any subject or topic for that matter, Unless one is very sure n a master in- about the subject one is about to speak in.

As most of the thought- Reactions one give are short term in nature and mostly has a negative effect on the person who reacted.

Concept learnt from the book Secrets for profiting in bull and Bear Markets by Stan Weinsteins Take weekly chart and apply 30 week Moving Average , Relative Strength, and check for the break out of stage 1. i.e breaking out of congestion or flat price move pattern and trying to move above 30SMA, and 30SMA is in moving in UP direction, and 30 SMA should not be in down direction  1. Over all market trend should be bullish 2. Sector/ Group should be breaking into stage 2. with minimum previous price resistance of near past(within 6-12 month. 3 Volume should be double or triple suddenly from last few weeks/ Volume confirming the break out 4. Relative strength(RS) should be sloping up gradually/ above zero line in daily time frame. can consider -Premal Sir/ Vivek Sirs 55 RS and 123 RS. combined. lets see some daily and weekly chart from the StockEdge scanner for the week. Learnings from Subhasish Paani... Power of Stock.   3 Simple Rules applies to almost all time frame. 1 .  Bollinger band(20, 1.5) - It applies to all time frame starting from monthly for long term investing- how long is long term depends on person to person. Bollinger band(20,1.5) weekly time frame very useful for any type of stocks to hold. 2 . Inside Candle - mostly useful for intra-day 15 min chart- One/first candle and than second candle (full size) inside/within the first candle. Most importantly check the previous trend of the market movement   and than if you find inside candle check in which side the next candle break out is happening- if it is in the side of trend take your full quantity position, and if the breakout in opposite side trade half quantity. Learn to give small and frequent Stop-losses to get good big movement on the break-out side. Take trade on breakout of the baby candle. For stop-loss -keep according to inside candle or the size of previous can...

Quality Business - Consistent-compounders

Successful companies have mostly focussed on small niches within a much larger market.  They have been able to build market dominance in their niches,  command pricing power, expand the niches and resultantly generate healthy earnings growth and returns on capital.  The financial performance of consistent compounders has been clearly better than:  (a) most mass-market companies; and (b) diversified large corporations For stock price to grow in consistent compounding stocks , Earnings drive 80-90% (if not higher) of the stock returns generated over the long run. As a result, provided the underlying asset (company or an index) delivers a modest or healthy earnings growth, it does not matter whether the entry point of one investor was 20% higher or lower than another investor.
